Vocalist Lisa Haze and multi-instrumentalist Joe Palmieri had worked
together
for years in various bands and musical projects when an intriguing idea
struck them.
A shared love of the Golden Age of Music and Singers, and a chance encounter
with a 95 year old ukulele struck a fundamental chord. Perhaps the world
would
welcome a return to the glamorous days of torch songs and standards,
jazz and swing,
Bogart and Bacall. A new band was formed featuring acoustic instruments,
nostalgic horns,
and a laid back vintage vibe. The Dr. Bones Band was born.
